SIOUX CITY, IA (KCAU) – Here is a look at this week’s SportsZone Top 5 Plays of the Week!
5. West Lyon is facing Unity Christian in softball. The ball is hit to the outfield, and Avery Schoening makes an excellent diving catch to keep the game tied!
4. Number four its the Sioux City Sol hosting the Dakota Fusion. Sol has a free kick in the sixth minute. Lilly Cote with pristine placement as Addison Hoben finishes it off with the header. An unreal goal for the Sol!
3. That takes us to number three, which keeps us with the Sol. Home team draws a corner kick midway through the first half, and Zoe Wittkop sneaks it inside the post! No help needed on this one!
2. Now number two comes from Saturday’s baseball game with SB-L and Unity Christian. There is a runner on third and one trying to steal second. But, SB-L’s Kyler Tindal stops him in his tracks, so Bayden Harskamp decides to take off and tries to steal home, but Tindal makes the throw, and they are gonna call Harskamp out on the plate to close the inning! A huge heads-up play from the Warriors pitcher!
1. But our top play of the week goes to Le Mars baseball. The pop fly looks to be a foul ball, but the Bulldogs’ fielder says I got it! He makes the grab just before the ball hits the ground, diving and sneaking his glove in for the out!
