Ohio State is 10-1 every year because they only play 1 good team--usually at home--and the rest of the time they're playing the other overrated teams in their conference.

Every football factory school has a list of players that are in the NFL, whether or not they're good or just roster hangers-on like Alex Boone or Justin Boren.

Just so you know, Peyton Manning is the best QB ever, and SEC product and played at Tennessee. People aren't going to appreciate how good he was until the Colts are 5-11 for the decade after he leaves.

The Pats win 10 games with Matt Cassell replacing Brady. How many games to the Colts win if Manning goes down? 3? 4?

I know..I hear about him everyday. I live 10 minutes south of Knoxville. Peyton is great but his knock and no matter what you say..is true. He struggles in the big game. He never beat Florida and Tennessee had Talent! And Brady is like 6-2 against him or something. Brady hasn't had 1 all pro WR or RB to play with. I know Randy Moss is the exception but they didn't win a SuperBowl with him.

I agree Peyton Manning makes the Colts 12 game winners but they have talent on that team and at one point he was throwing to 2 of the top 8 WR's in their prime. Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne. Plus he had Edge and Marshall Faulk too.

It would be nice if Manning wasn't such an underachiever in the playoffs.

The Patriots and Colts have met 3 times in the post season. Brady won the two in NE. Manning won the one in Indy.

11 playoffs out of 12 seasons since his rookie year for a team that only plays defense every other year. Imagine having the results that Warner brought us for 11 years instead of two. How awesome would that be?

Note:If he played for a team that got home field in 12 degree weather in the playoffs he'd have 4 SB rings. :D

Finally, its just amazing to me that only one team other than the Steelers, Colts or Patriots have won an AFC Championship in the last 10 years.

Even more amazing is that one team was the Raiders.

they have arguably the best three QBs in the conference. That's the way the NFL works. You can have a great defense, but unless you've got that bona-fide superstar behind C, that D might get you to one Super Bowl, but if you want to go back over and over again, you need the stud QB. The Ravens, Bucs and Bears back in the day are proof positive of that.

Could be. To me though its QB, Colts, Defense Steelers and System/Coaching Patriots.

Of course we put 400 yards of offense on the Steelers in the SB and they still beat us so I'm probably wrong. :(

the Steelers though were just like the Bears, Ravens and Bucs before Big Ben got there. Perenial contenders, a one time Super Bowl participant, but ultimately, not enough to continually get back to the big game, as opposed to the last 6 years when they've been there three time in the last 6 years. A good D will only carry you so far. To continually get back, you need the QB to help put you over the top.
