Todd Gilliland pulled off the impossible in the 2026 Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. On Sunday, Gilliland and the No. 34 team for Front Row Motorsports won the 2026 In-Season Challenge at Indianapolis. The driver of the No. 34 car beat Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney.
Despite finishing in 24th place, Gilliland was able to beat Blaney after the No. 12 car was involved in a late crash. Blaney had splitter damage, and with passing very difficult, he wasn't able to get up to Gilliland. Instead, Gilliland and the No. 34 team for Front Row Motorsports came home with the $1,000,000 prize.
Gilliland is the second champion of the In-Season Challenge after Ty Gibbs, and the No. 54 team for Joe Gibbs Racing beat Ty Dillon at Indianapolis last season. Blaney was the heavy favorite, but Gilliland and Front Row Motorsports are going home with the $1,000,000 prize going into NASCAR's final off-weekend.
