Sweet baby jesus let this be true. The Cowboys have made a serious offer to the Jets for the number 2 pick. Personally with so many needs I can’t see the Jets refusing unless they are set on Reese.
Reese is such a Jets pick.

This is good. I would be perfectly fine with this. For a little more context to my lack of interest...I don't believe 12 and 20 give him a ton of value. I don't really care for that are of the draft. Trading back for Ioane or Bain or McCoy or Fano just isn't it for me. At 20, you are left with the same kinda mid. It's a good area for S's and OL but I am not going to take two of those (probably).
Could you argue that a draft that starts with
12 - Vega Ioane - OG
20 - Max Iheanchor / Blake Fisher - OT
34 - Ty Simpson - QB
is a potentially good draft? Yeah, but it also dumping so many assets into one group which seems problematic.

Bailey can't play the run and has no bend. Then why would we consider trading out of an opportunity for any of them?
I think there is mis-direction in Jerruh’s brain at this point.I think this will tell them if the Jets want Reese. If the Boys want Bailey they talk to the Cards. The Boys have done a good job of concealing which player they want. It almost has to be one of the 2. I’ve asked my best contacts and they feel there’s so much misdirection out there it’s impossible to know reality. Initially Reese was the name but it’s now unclear. Sorry.
I agree with this argument even if I don’t agree with the premise. You can’t believe there are a handful of blue-chip prospects available and also be eager to trade out of a position to take one.Bailey can't play the run and has no bend.
Reese is a huge gamble as a pass rusher because he has very little experience doing it and zero pass rush moves.
These "blue chippers" have warts and the others don't have positional value.
So if someone team wants to give up draft capital to take the risk then let them.
This has been my position from the beginning.I am considering this thesis a lot more.
I like Mauigoa because I think his floor is high at a position of need, but I'll admit that I don't think he'll be a multi time All Pro. I could see him maybe making a Pro Bowl or two, but I don't think he'll be dominant.
I could see Love becoming an All Pro.
Man, do I ever agree with this. A great OL can make a mediocre running back look better. But a mediocre OL can make an outstanding running back look terrible. If there’s ever a year to improve the OLine, this is it. A quarterback is not available you’d want to spend use your No. 3 pick on. We don’t need a RB, WR or a tight end. Trading down is appealing if you get enough to find a superior OL guy and the QB the Cards apparently covet. You can certainly make a case for an edge or LB, both of which are available.I would love that draft... its not like Monti doesnt have a history of overdrafting a single position in a draft.
...for a team with desperate needs at o line and QB...the talent lines up
sooner or later we need to make the offensive line not a problem.
My issue is that we could use a pretty good, long term starter at RT. If you told me that Mauigoa is going to start for the next decade and be pretty good guaranteed, I would be advocating taking him because I believe that building a strong OL is the foundation of a good offense. This has been my position from the beginning.
