One of the most interesting competitions to watch when the Tennessee Titans take to the field will be at the wide receiver position, which looks a lot better than it did during the 2025 season.
With the additions of Carnell Tate and Wan’Dale Robinson joining Calvin Ridley, Elic Ayomanor, and Chimere Dike, there will be a lot of competition for the remaining one or two spots on the roster.
While many believe Bryce Oliver has a bit of an inside track due to his special teams play, it is hard to tell what will happen as it plays out. Veteran KJ Osborn, Xavier Restrepo, and Tyren Montgomery head up an interesting mix battling for the final spot.
One player who appears poised to surprise is Restrepo, who again opened some eyes during OTAs and minicamp and has continued to put in the work. On top of that, he looks both stronger and faster as he enters his second training camp.
On a social media post, Restrepo, with his personal trainer, posted a video of some of his work and reported that he clocked two 40s: A 4.50 and a 4.45 40-yard dash ahead of training camp.
Coach Battle shared the results: “Well, the first 40, he ran a 4.50, and we know that’s not the mark that we were trying to get to going into camp. So here at Battle Zone Speed and Fitness, we are proud to announce that this young man under the lights just ran a blazing time of 4.45 in a 40-yard dash.”
While self-reported times can often be taken lightly, Restrepo did look faster than the dismal 4.83 he ran in the 2025 pre-draft process that tanked his draft stock. But will that be enough to help push him into true roster contention? If the offseason work was any indication, it may give him a shot.
