Cam Ward and Chimere Dike were both snubbed on this list, but here's why: The Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Year (ROY) award is determined by how many Rookie of the Week (ROW) nominations they receive, fan voting on those nominations, and leading other rookies in production. The finalists above will be voted on by the fans, and the winner will be announced during Super Bowl week.

Ward had only three Pepsi ROW nominations, and despite being the AFC Special Teams player of the Week for Week 5, Dike had zero ROW nominations. Ward led all rookie quarterbacks with 3,169 yards and 15 touchdowns, but his nine turnovers and 55 sacks taken hurt his stock. Dike was a superstar on the field this year, recording 2,427 all-purpose yards and six touchdowns.

It is important to note that this is a separate award from the one the NFL will hand out in the coming weeks. It's a sponsored award handed out based on fan voting, so Ward and Dike are still in the running for the main award, and Dike has a real shot at it, leading the league in all-purpose yards and setting a new record for a rookie.
