I don't post much on the board, pretty much because what I have to say has already been said. But lately the negativety on this board has gotten to me. So I thought I'd try to point out the positives I've seen from the Cards, even if they've already been said because all of us need a reminder. Here goes:

1. Dave McGinnis: The heart and soul of this team. I will be the first to admit that I probably would not be a season ticket holder if this guy were not the head coach of the team. I love his passion, his enthusiasm, and his love for the game. Lately, people have questioned his coaching ability. I haven't. Never will. He's turned me from Cardinal hater, to Cardinal closet fan, to open Cardinal fan, to season ticket holder. After todays game people are calling for a coaching change. Truthfully, there is nobody that I can think of who can come in and make an immidiate impact. McGinnis will get this turned around. It's not him who needs to go. It's the assistance who need to change.

2. Rod Graves: Love him or hate him, Graves is changing the way the front office works. Most recently the extensions to Ray Thompson and Scott Player. Just a few years ago these extensions were a Cardinals dream. Marcel Shipp's extension last year is another example. True, he missed the boat on some free agents, yet in his first year he has given me hope on building a winner.

3. The Offense: I might be crazy after watching today's game, but I like the way Blake runs this offense. Save for the last interception in today's game, he hasn't really thrown any stupid interceptions that have plagued this team for the last six years. Freddie Jones is being used more. We have a rookie who is playing like a seasoned veteran in Boldin and another rookie in Johnson, who gets better with every game. The last two games we have been shut down, but Jerry Sullivan is still learning and this offense is way more fun to watch than last years was.

4. The Linebackers: Nobody played harder today than McKinnon, Thompson, and Fisher. These guys are talented and with the right scheme they can dominate. Personally, I think this team is better suited for the 3-4. It was on the Hill interception that the defense ran the 3-4, and Darling and Fisher blasted in the back field causing the turnover. Put those four together and I'll bet you'll see alot more pressure on the quarterback.

Those are somethings I think are reasons to make you hold your heads up. You can say I've been drinking too much of the koolaid. You can say that I don't know what I am talking about. Yeah the defense needs a change. But you'll never hear me say that this team sucks! You'll never hear me say this team is bad! I am an Arizona Cardinal fan! And I am proud of it!

Yeah, That is good and all. I hate to tell you though. That all those guys you like so much are terrible at there jobs.

This is a disgrace.

I do like those guys, as people. But as part of the NFL they stink

Absolutely stink.

This did cheer me up. This was the biggest laugh of the day....

If the coach is the heart and soul of the team then puts some pads on him and give him a helmet and stick his rear on the DL and let him rush the passer....

Carter had how many yards???? What a joke.

You are really funny. Keep up the good work...

Everybody here likes these guys. I liked OJ Simpson. I actually still do love the way he played. I was one of the very few that thought he was set up during the trial while living in Yuma. Do I want him to marry my sister? I don't like anyone that much.

As a fan of this team for 28 years the only optimism I can come up with is "COACH MAC WILL BE FIRED" hopefully sooner than Later. Then we can move on & hopefully get someone who knows the game & how to motivate a team in here. Nobody on this coaching staff deserves to be employed based on performance of this team. If they want to keep sullivan around as receiver's coach fine. Not as OC. Everyone else should be shown the door at season's end.

I admire your resilience, Shorty. But in the words of that famous Cardional wordsmith-

"Puhleez!"

Not yet. We are only a quarter way through the season. There's still alot of football to be played. Alot can happen.

I'm not saying this team is spectacular, but we are only five games into the season and everybody is already writing it off. Like I said, I'm just trying to be optimistic.

Like all teams and their fans, when you win, no one cares. When you lose everyone has something to say. You'd think we'd all run out of things to say by now. But I guess not. Now I am not looking forward to playing the Ravens Sunday. But you know what, I will be glued to my set watching a win or a loss. I think that this is what it all comes down to now.

The type of fan I refuse to turn into is the kind of fan my neighbor is. He and his wife went to Notre Dame. The first few weeks of the season the Notre Dame flag was always flying on Saturdays. The last couple of weeks it wasn't. I asked them why and their answer was that Notre Dame sucked this year. Now that is the kind of fan I refuse to become. I will be there through the bad and the bad. But I also think that I savor the wins more than fans of other teams do. Do you not think that the Bears fans are not partying like they just won the Superbowl? So what if we have another long season. Did you think that everything would change in one year? Hopefully things will start going in some direction other than down, and I know I'll be there every step of the way.

I had my ASU flag up opening day & it still is there. I will notbe that guy either.

I love my teams but I know that they both suck right now (ASU & Cards). I wore my jersey yesterday watching the game & my sister in law & wife were both ragging on me about how bad the Cards are.

There's one thing I can't stand is when someone without -any- football knowledge asks that question "Why do the Cards suck so bad?"

I just cringed & stared at my sis in laws jugs.

She has a nice pair - that's the only thing that didn't set me off - I was not a nice guy yesterday.

I wore my jersey yesterday too.....To Texas Stadium. No one gave me crap during the game at all. In fact, only one person said anything to me. It was in the parking lot after the game and I was about five hundred feet from my car. He was throwing a football with some other guys when he yelled out, "Cardinals Suck!" Well, I just looked over at him and said, "Yes we do right now. But you guys have sucked for a few years now." Shut them all right the hell up. So that is what it will have to take to make it through this season. I just hope that we don't lose too many people along the way.
