Edited my post.

They still are 3-0 against the division, with road Ws IN Seattle and LA.

Injuries are a pathetic excuse for why we’ve looked so mid so far. And they’ll be a pathetic excuse if we continue to be moving forward.
A dominant player like Beej would have made all the difference

Shanny and McVay would have to change their playbook to suit KM, since he is incapable of playing on time and in rhythm. Part of the reason he's so incredibly average.
Again its to find out if he can play on time rhythm/ just enough. He wont ever be Goff level, but at a level much better than with Petzing. And then the changes/athleticism makes up for what you're not getting.

Again he might truly be incapable of it. Its just hard for me to know sure because Petzing might also be the worst possible coach for him. At least in terms of Shanahan tree the Cards media was so desperately trying to sell us (his connection is more with Gary Kubiak)

Or maybe both are truly subpar at their jobs and forced to work together. Who knows.

Edit: Shanahan did drop Trey Lance with the quickness and avoided Justin Fields like the plague. And he's talked about how tough it was working with Johnny Manziel. So yea its not likely Kyle would even take a chance on Kyler.

Im upset at Monti too, but it could very well be JG just picked the wrong coaches to develop these players.
And who chose JG? Monti is the GM. responsibility ultimately lies at his feet.

I did not have Mac Jones being better than Kyler Murray on my bingo card. 342 yards throwing to 3rd string receivers on the road. Kyler has only thrown 346 yards or more on the road twice in his career and the last was in 2020. Kyler has only thrown over 300 yard 7 times since 2020 the 2020 season.

Just making passes that you don't see from Kyler last night.

I'd say sign him as the next possible Baker or Darnold 1st round reclaim but he's the least swag QB in history. Can grown men follow a guy that they used to beat up in high school?

The league really did a bang up job with relocation lately. Rams playing a home game with 70% opposition fans, the Raiders (a notoriously rabid fan base until now) getting raided by Bears fans.

Full seats. Owners don't care who's in them. Myopic, short term capitalism. That's all that matters. Moving to Vegas was brilliant in that regard. LA, well, that's just LA. So Fi is a gorg stadium though, ain't it?

They days of loyal home team fans packing the stadium are long gone. You might say.... "Lambeau Field" .. But check out even that stadium when someone like Detroit or KC comes to town there. The prices are so high, it basically forces fans with normal incomes to sell some tickets to cover their costs. Then, you have the brokers.

We have a person sitting next to us who bought season tickets and plans to go to almost every game. The last time that happened was somewhere around 2016 or 2017. Since then we have had different people sitting around us EVERY game. That was true when I was in Sec 211 and now it is mostly true in the Ring of Honor.

Its clear Monti was a little too trusting in letting JG pick just anybody on his offensive staff. Im sure Monti was on board for the physicality that Petzing and others were bringing. However, its clear there needed to be an experienced play caller brought in as well to help Drew.
Bringing in Drew Terrell as well to botch the wrs and apparently not aid Petzing with the passing game is probably where they dropped the ball.

Obviously didnt expect Klayton Adams to leave so soon.

Yeah, it went sideways for the offense this off-season. We had the #12 offense in the NFL last year (I know that is hard to believe but it's true) with the second best rushing attack by YPC. We failed to adapt to these changes and the NFL has adapted to Petzing.

I think the mindset, probably not even said out loud among the coaches, is the defense is going to be a lot better so if the offense is the same we are going to the playoffs.

Yes. Let's offload the dynamic and talented Kyler Murray, sign a failed former 1st round pick currently playing in "the most QB friendly offense in NFL history" and put him into this **** show of an offense. We'll then commence our 2026 superbowl run. That sounds like a super smart idea Britcard.

Gentlemen, I know the passing numbers last night were sexy, intoxicating even, but let's keep our wits about us, okay?
