Oklahoma City Thunder guard Nikola Topić registered his first 20-point game in the G League on Tuesday, leading the OKC Blue to a win over the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Topić produced a team-high 22 points, four assists, two rebounds, two steals and one blocked shot in the 127-118 victory at the Paycom Center. He went 7-of-12 from the field, including 4-of-7 from 3-point range, in 19 minutes off the bench.

The 20-year-old logged his second appearance with the Blue after the organization cleared him to play following a cancer diagnosis in October. He recorded seven points, seven assists and one rebound in 16 minutes during his debut on Monday.

Thunder general manager Sam Presti announced on Oct. 30 that Topić was diagnosed with testicular cancer after undergoing a biopsy in Houston, Texas. He immediately started chemotherapy to treat the cancer, which was completed in early January, his agent announced.

The Serbian continued working out and training at the team practice facility while receiving chemotherapy. He was eventually seen participating in pregame on-court workouts before receiving clearance to play after missing all of last year with a torn left ACL.

The Thunder rallied around Topić throughout his treatment and is thrilled to see him playing basketball again. While it remains to be seen if Topić will play with the Thunder this season, the organization is certainly just ecstatic that he is back on the court.
