Orton would be the best QB not named Warner I can ever remember the Cardinals having.

Regardless, were not getting Luck. I would rather take a proven solid QB in Orton that roll the dice and the next few seasons with a rookie.

I think Skelton can be a solid #2.

Orton is more than a band-aid.

Cards have a high second round pick this year, too high for Orton.

I've seen Orton play a bunch in Chicago, pretty good QB, won't take you to the SB on his shoulders, but could get us to the playoffs next year...which is really a great turn-around.

If you can't get Kolb, and you can get Orton for a decent price - this is really a no brainer.

Our 3rd is high enough to get Orton I think. If not send next years 4th also.

Good QBs still in their prime are not easy to get in the league.

It would be foolish not to get him.

Would Orton be good enough for Fitz to want to re-sign?

Why does everyone cry about Fitz? As good as he is he is still a WR. WRs do not win super bowls.

Because you generally don't get better by losing your top players for nothing.

A 2nd or 3rd is too high for Orton and I like Orton. Maybe a 4th and a conditional 4-6th round pick for 2012(depending on playing time/wins/stats/etc)?

So make Fitz your GM so he can please himself?

That's a terrific idea. We'd be a hell of a lot better off than having Graves.

I just don't understand how franchises can see the Patriots, Colts and Steelers win every year and not figure out that you put together an offense and/or defense that other teams have trouble dealing with and acquire players to fit those systems.

Ego I guess. Think they have a better mouse trap.

Trade our 2011 3rd rounder and 2012 4th rounder for Orton.

Sign Champ Bailey

Trade our #5 pick and DRC to Carolina for the #1 and take Luck.

My pipe dream.

The Todd Zeile of the NFL? Managed to have a 16 year ML career by hitting 3 run HRs when his team was either ahead 5-0 or behind 8-1.

That's not how he got a lot of his stats this year. He played very, very well for much of the season.

Ditto - he's a good QB, smart, relatively accurate - not a game changer, but easily a vast improvement from anyone on our roster.

I guess that would make him a game changer on our team...

ZENO- "Because Orton isn't worth a 2nd or 3rd round pick IMO. He is a decent QB but not Warner."

Ok so because he isnt a HALL OF FAME PLAYER he isnt worth a 3rd rounder?

The guy has been very good over the last two years and is only in his 5th season. Its hard to find a QB in the first round that can put up Ortons numbers.

You can't build around Orton, he is a decent stopgap and that is it....so no he isn't worth anything higher than a 4th round pick IMO.
