I had herring in a mustard sauce for an appetizer, and roast pork stuffed with plums. Mashed potatoes and red sauerkraut on the side. Swedish food is good! Rice Pudding with Lingenberry sauce for dessert.

The wife and kids weren’t home last night so I had to fend for myself. I went with leftover chili with a side of cottage cheese!

That is the nastiest combination of foods I have heard of in a LONG time. I won't say ever, but it's been awhile since a food combo made me shudder like that one just did. Bleh.

Well, you just explained why I haven't been eating dinner all week.

Wow, that's horrible.

I'm going to Tokyo Lobby on 59th and Bell tonight. It's the place that got five stars from the Arizona Republic. I drove by it today and saw that they moved out of the strip mall location next to Wal-Mart and into a freestanding building on the same corner closer to Bell(much nicer). I can't wait!

That's less than 2 miles from me. I saw it there the other day & have been meaning to try it. Be sure to report back!

And you just explained why you weigh 120 lbs. No eating of dinner.

:)

165.

I had the Teriyaki burger from Carl's Jr. from lunch. Teriyaki sauce and pineapple on a burger made for an interesting combination.

It was outstanding. (please note that I did not mix the two together)

Cottage cheese? Yech

Love it, eat it almost every day. Costco recently switched to a new brand and it's heaven on earth.

I love cottage cheese...not a fan of chili (too spicy). I didn't think you meant together...it just sounds gross & even picturing it served on a plate or two bowls side by side, whatever is just kinda icky.

Interesting, I'll have to try that. I usually just eat it plain, or add a little pepper if I'm feeling daring.

Costco recently switched to Daisy, a very nice upgrade IMO.

Tokyo Lobby was delicious. We ordered Philly rolls, rock n rolls, and Glendale rolls. Unlike some other sushi joints I've been to, Tokyo Lobby wraps the outside of their roll with the fish instead of stuffing it inside. I think Ah So stuffs it inside. Wrapping the outside accommodates much more fish. The salmon and tuna literally melted in my mouth.

The Glendale roll is stuffed with chunks of baby lobster, deep fired then drizzled with sweet sauces. It was impossible to eat without letting out a mmm...

Prices were reasonable. The bill came to just over $33 for three different rolls and a bowl of edamame(we drank water). The Glendale roll was the most expensive at $10.50 due to the lobster.

The inside of the place was small, but had nice ambiance with an authentic sushi bar look and feel to it.

Westsiders, you should check it out. I give it two thumbs up. Southeast corner of 59th and Bell.

My sis LOVES Outback. I used to do mystery shopping there, which is funny since I am a vegetarian. :)

I had Fatburger. Yummy!

I think because PHX didnt have Fatburger till they franchised out here a couple years ago and had to hear all Cali folks talk about it, once I finally ate Fatburger, it didnt live up to expectations for me..
