I looked up prices and saw they start at $1300 plus per person.

Holy Uefa corruption, no way no way

I'm a huge soccer fan however There are a lot of other things I would spend that kind of money on instead of a WC match. I wonder where all these people who attend find that kind of money to buy tickets.

I'm kind of embarrassed to even say... the 4 tickets were a little over $10,000. If you look up anything on the stadium pricing, the highest price tier is basically everything but the top of the stadium and behind the goals. And it's dynamic pricing and obviously the USA is in highest demand (since they are the only team with a specific slot in the US at this point). And since I'd be paying several thousand dollars either way, I just went all in.

I'm in a very good financial position and can afford it, but it's still totally outrageous.

Hopefully my two competitive soccer playing kids will appreciate it! (Spoiler: they won't)

Hopefully it will be a great match that you can enjoy.

UPDATE:
I didn't realize that the USA's first match was considered an "Opening Match" and that each of the 3 countries have an opening match for their home country. The prices of the opening matches are significantly more expensive than the rest of of the group stage, so I probably could have gotten a much better deal buying either the second or third group stage game for USA (I'm honestly not even sure if either of those was even available when I bought). Things could fluctuate based on dynamic pricing, but USA game #2 Category 1 ticket is $535 and game #3 Category 1 is $805 vs $2,735 for the opening match. Oh well, my fault for not doing my homework ahead of time!

I found this site linked within a Reddit thread (I'm going to M4): https://www.fifacollectanalytics.com/ticket-prices?key_custom_source=custom_tabs

Don't know who's watching the US/Ecuador match but that goal by Ecuador is more on Freese than anyone else. He was too deep in net. He should have been out more to cut the angle. These things are not high level stuff.

Anybody keeping an eye on the U-20 men's team run in that WC tourney?

They look pretty good. Got Morocco in the round of eight tomo.
I've been following it. Makes you wonder how they are so much better than the USMNT. Gives me hope for the 2030 WC.

I’m not sure. I think he’s at the right depth if he uses a more typical dive with a power step to that side. He went with sweeping his opposite leg out, which gets you down very quickly, but doesn’t give you the same range. About a step forward and sweeping his leg, or where he was with more power to the dive. Wasn’t too bad of a miss. He’s still playing pretty well. It’s probably his job to lose.
