Oh man US v Germany in June??
The way I understand it, both the US and Germany are in the same tier when it comes to selecting WC groups, so there is no possible way they could be in the same grouping for the WC which allows them to schedule this match. Never know, it could be a preview for a WC match down the road if both get out of their groups.

I might be out of town, but I don’t think tickets are available. And if it is World Cup prices, just forget it.

Pochettino got a lot of heat for no good reason. I guess not everyone could see what he was doing. Unlike Berhalter, he wanted to build depth and find quality players instead of dragging in the same 30-35 guys who where not getting the job done. That had always been one of my pet peeves about US soccer, how could we not have a vast supply of potential players simply by how many play in the US.

I honestly believe players like Weah, Adams, etc. need to be concerned about their place on the US squad. If you watched last night's match you could not help but be impressed by the quality of play and urgency of play from this squad and the closeness of the team as a whole. All these players have totally bought into Pochettino's philosophy and are there to make an impression on him.
The heat he got was deserved. He should be getting praise right now as well.

Soccer noob here - is seems incredibly strange to me that a non-American is coaching the USMNT. The whole tournament is built on national pride - what happens if we play Argentina?

It's very common for national team coaches not to be from the country they represent. Brazil, England, etc all have coaches from another country.

Was hoping for Norway (Haaland) or Egypt (Salah), but we are going to USA v Paraguay. Beyond seeing those two stars, and maybe Scotland (McTominay), Paraguay was probably among the best of the bunch and I'm glad they avoided one of the bottom Pot 3 teams.

About as good a draw as you can ask for if you are USA.

Australia and Paraguay are both good teams to be pulled for us. Plus throw in a qualifier for the 3rd team, and it will most certainly be a group that USA should expect to win.

I don’t really like USMNT other than out of duty. Too Spursy
Pochettino is the better than all of the managers that spurs have brought in after him. I'd take a UEFA champions league final and beating Arsenal right about now. sign me up for also taking the USA to new heights, if that is spursy, so be it.

I do think that the draw today was very good for the USA. USA are not good enough to sleep on any opponent, but seems like the draw is too good to be true in some ways. maybe the guy who does the NBA lottery is the same guy that makes decisions with NBA and Italian football officiating. He must have put together this draw today.

I agree that he has not done anything yet. I'm just putting in context that he did better at Tottenham than other people have. and it won't take much to better what Berhalter did, I think he already has gotten them on the right track. but it will be a tall task to lead the USA to any type of trophy that has international prestige.

it can happen. hey I was one that "wanted arsene Wenger to stay"

I miss living in England. I remember all the Arsenal/French National Team jokes. I was lucky to go to a NLD match, but wish I had gone to the old White Hart Lane. the new place is nowhere near the advantage that the old place was. I think it has a lot to do with the direction of spurs management now. they seem to be rudderless, like my favorite NFL team is. It looks like Arsenal might win the league now (pukes in ones mouth and swallows it).

and I hate to say it, but Arteta is doing a hell of a job at Arsenal. I was afraid of that when Arsenal pulled him from Pep. Smart for the Gooners to stay patient with him. no one has patience anymore and I think their patience is paying off now.

Trying to be nice but I don’t get what Spurs are trying to do.
Idk that anyone does. I think they are too cheap. I know the player that scored on them in the NLD was one that they really wanted they needed to pay more.

It'll be nice watching Miggy again for me. Sounds like we got a good group.
