Are you making this a Kyler thing to try and rattle cages? Lol. I’m saying give any QB in the NFL 40 attempts and they will get at least 250+ yards 9 times out of 10. Not sure why that’s hard to understand? Also I’d wager we are calling near the same amount of plays a game before Brissett.c

Jesus dude, why do you think they let Jacoby pass more? Have a guess.

Question.

Hypothetically, say Kyler doesn’t take another snap for the Arizona Cardinals

But we still end up losing a lot of games

Where does the blame goes towards to next?

Still QB obvs. Brissett has been much better than Kyler, but he's nowhere near Stafford and Darnold.

There’s no hope with you, man.

I'm not sure what you want to hear.

You think it would be some other reason than the *checks notes* 19-36 QB?

I don't know what more I can say than my consistent position of "QBs make all the difference", including (because I see where you want to go) coaching decisions.

For reference see Pete Carroll, Bill Belichick etc

Can we just agree that both Petzing and Kyler need to go???!
Why stop there? I'm done with the entire FO - they've had 3 years and have built very little. Plenty of examples of other franchises in a similar position that are thriving at this point.

No point in continuity if the end result is crap.

They all need to go.

Monti couldn’t fix the lines
Gannon couldn’t deal with 9-win expectations
Petzing couldn’t adapt to James Conner’s turning 30
Kyler got his brain broken vs the Packers in 2022
I would be ok with this.

this is correct

there is a serious roster issue here beyond the QB. Thats on Monti. He also, presumably, signed off on Petzing as OC.

Given the implied hot seat -- your choices for OC arent great if you keep Gannon.

and if you are getting a new QB: you need everyone on the same timeline --

otherwise you run the risk of a new QB getting a new HC / new OC in his 2nd year.

I think it would be a mistake for us to move on from this coaching staff and the GM. I know it's not been perfect, but I think they have great potential.

Their tenure has been restricted by being saddled with a limited QB. Year 1 it was injury. Last year we should have made the playoffs but Kyler stunk after the bye week (as usual) and this year is self evident.

I think it would be a mistake to bail yet. There have been mistakes, but there isn't a GM or coaches that don't make mistakes.

Why would it depend if we’re still losing?
Really dude?
Come on man...are you high or intentionally being obtuse?

Since you're obviously running on a 20 watt bulb..let's try this....

Next week we suffer 16 season ending injuries on our defense...we lose out...
So...you wanna blame that on the OC?? HC?
Maybe Monti for not finding a dozen quality starters sitting at home mid season? Or because we don't have starters 4 deep?

It ALWAYS matters why you are losing...and sometimes...you even lose simply because shyte happens.

You guys get ridiculous with this crap sometimes

All of this is moot when you see a team like the 9ers winning each week despite their entire defense being on IR, while missing starters on offense as well.

Maybe you are being high or intentionally obtuse.

I’m not going to lower my standards just because you choose to.

i wouldn't mind losing a bunch of meaningless games - we got the qb data we needed - we got it without having quality runningbacks or good o-line play making the data very sound

the gap mostly consists in our qb play - that and petzing wearing panties in the 4th quarter

our defense is capable

It's early. These convos are best left to the end of the season because crazy things happen in the NFL. I am more on the all or nothing with Gannon and Monti. I don't really think much of Petzing's play calling and offense. Kyler is done.

So Gannon has to go , Petzing sucks, MO is terrible…
Then we make a Qb change and suddenly every thing is different.
I could be wrong but it may be indicative of what the problem was.
In fairness, I don't know how much has really changed to this point.

Monti might get the "2024 was just a bad draft year, and he just made a mistake in adding picks".

Gannon might get the "bad luck, and just needed the young players to get reps and healthy".

Petzing might get the "his game planning and play calling only kinda sucks". (He should be gone)

Kyler is done.

You and I ( all of us) have reason to be 100% skeptical.
The play calling has improved. I happen to believe it’s because of the qb change.
Players we started to doubt, MHJ and Wilson in particular suddenly seem pretty good. The ball is getting spread around. Third and long now seems possible to make.
Going forward it is definitely “ show me again” time. And if we go into Seattle and win, it will remain just that. Show me again.

I keep saying I need to just stay away from these threads until the end of the year but can't seem to stay away because I like discussing the Cardinals. Still a lot of season left. It isn't really a week to week type convo.
