Whoever came up with that name, full props.

he's in year 3. Somebody please tell me 1 thing he's done even above average as a GM?

Passed on Anderson, draft picks have not panned out, his first act was to cost the Cards a draft pick to hire Gannon, then fired him.

Why does this guy have a job and why is he in charge of another rebuild?

I know we have similar threads but wanted to vent.

GUYS MONTI IS 8-9. Year one doesn’t count because it was about building character.

Last season was entirely on Kyler and Gannon.

You have to give him a chance. This year (or almost definitely next year when Kyler’s contract is off the books) will be the truly telling season.

Its obviously Kyler’s fault seven top 100 picks turned into zero average starters.

Are you hanging out with the member AKA...BirdGangThing??
Or it's possible that I've savagely had 1 too many beers...

First years a bye
Last season it's all on the QB and HC only
Waiting for the 2027 because the cards will have more money to improve the team
It's all Kyler's fault

Ok, this either rare sarcasm from K9 or...........I need to go to bed, goodnight

K9, be gentle with any response...I'm feeling a headache coming in about 8 hrs

I guess it's my job to correct this falsehood every time someone posts it.
Monti didn't cost us a draft pick. We had to swap 3rd rd picks with the Eagles. Still a blunder but not nearly as severe as losing a pick.

That is true. It was still rank incompetence and got the Monti era off to a sad start. It hasn't gotten much better from there.

The Browns have actually done decent in the draft. They just mucked up the QB position so badly they can't win.
If they'd held on to Baker, they'd be much better.

They had a very good draft last year.
What sold you on their draft, Gabriel in the 3rd or Sanders in the 5th. I forgot, did they give up any draft capital for Pickett?

It cost them 28 slots. So while they still had the same number of picks. They lost virtually a full round of value.
