The Boston Celtics have quietly reshaped their identity, and it is amazing. Or at least that is the point of view of the hosts of the "How Bout Them Celtics!" podcast, Jack Simone and Sam LaFrance, who put together a video taking a deep dive into how the Celtics front office remade the team's roster after the Achilles tendon injury Jayson Tatum suffered in the 2025 NBA Eastern Conference Semifinals vs. the New York Knicks.

From the exits of Luke Kornet, Al Horford, Jrue Holiday, and Kristaps Porzingis to the arrivals of Hugo Gonzalez, Luka Garza, and most recently, Nikola Vucevic, and the rise of Jaylen Brown as a Most Valuable Player-level star, this version of Boston is worth a closer look.

Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what they had to say about how the Celtics defied expectations this season to return to contender status almost as soon as they gave it up.
