Connor haters.... don't be surprised if we use the young guys earlier in games and when the game is on the line, Connor comes in to close the games out. There is something about having a veteran presence when the game is near closing time. If he has lost it, it'll show within the first few games and then the coaches will pivot.

Literally NO ONE is a Connor hater. Literally.

He showed that he lost it last year in the games he played. Why keep around an ancient RB who is past his prime? For leadership? That's not why you keep players on an NFL roster.

Absolutely! I started following Big Red when the FIRST game I ever watched as a kid who by then understood the game, was Redskins and Cardinals. This was in 77. I was 9. I fell in love with the unis and that bird on the helmet, drew myself to Jim Hart, and never looked back. Adopting them was crazy as we were hardly EVER on tv unless we were playing the eagles. My entire family except one cousin and my brother are diehard eagles fans so I was looked at as an outcast on Sundays. I followed through highlights and the box scores but loved them with all of my heart. As it stands the Cardinals are my number 1 team in all of sports. More than my Sixers, Phillies or Flyers.

He showed that he lost it last year in the games he played. Why keep around an ancient RB who is past his prime? For leadership? That's not why you keep players on an NFL roster.

JC may have slowed down or maybe not. Not a single RB did well behind that oline last year.
I won't be shocked if he does or doesn't make the team. He does provide more leadership than a rookie, never was(Benson) and probably Algier because JC has proven to be a tone setter and leader/captain on this team.
I think Mlf wants a strong locker room presence because he is trying to establish a winning culture. JC isn't the only player to provide that but he has proven his worth in that area for years now.
Let's see how JC does in training camp and if he gets any playing time in ps games.

I'm surprised they had him out there full go on drills after having some kind of knee issue. That sounds like enough to sit him awhile.

We all love the guy but I don't even know why they bothered to bring him to camp. After they drafted Love the right thing to do was to release him so he might have found a legitimate shot at at least one more payday somewhere.

Giving him a chance to show he's healthy, though, actually benefits both sides, regardless if he's ultimately traded or cut.

I don't know what happened there. They had 4 on 2 and Nolan untouched. I think that's the guy you need to double.

Pragmatism is now framed as hate. Interesting. Literally everyone here wants to see success from this franchise. Having a RB as likeable as JC perform at a high level would go aways to helping that. Reality is, he's 31 and on the downside, and has appeared to be cooked. That doesnt make me a hater, it makes me someone who is in wait and see mode with a valid justification for questioning whether or not he can return to form.

I expect the Cardinals to keep FOUR running backs. If they like both Bensen and Connor, they may put Bam Knight on the practice squad until someone gets hurt.

I think 4 too but the problem for Benson is AFAIK he doesn't play ST other than he ran back KO's in college. That is Knight has been used both as a returner and on KO coverage, I don't recall benson ever doing so because he was always the RB2 or RB1 on the roster.

If you're the 4th RB of 4, you better be able to do more than just play RB.

Add in the talk that Benson missed Sundays practice and not looking good for Trey.
