A trip to the American Legion Baseball World Series will be on the line in Shrewsbury this week.
Six teams from across the northeast are gathering for the Region 1 Northeast Regional Tournament from Aug. 6-9 at Fitton Field.
The double elimination tournament will narrow down the field to one regional champion that will advance to the World Series in Shelby, North Carolina from August 13-18.
Greece, New York, Post 468 is the defending champion

Massachusetts state champion: Franklin Post 75
Vermont state champion: Essex Post 91
Rhode Island state champion: Cumberland Post 14
New Hampshire state champion: Bedford Post 54
Maine state champion: Sanford Post 19
