Derrick White to have a big game. Not expecting much from the big that played out of his mind in game 5

It's not hate but you hyper focusing on one name tells me you can't rebuke what I said. I respect his game but don't believe he's really better than Dirk. Great player but not a generational talent.

There is nothing to rebuke your not even worth having this conversation with.

Lmao Dirk is a generational talent himself WTF

Dirk was the greatest international player ever until Joker came along. Both are generational talents. We never saw anything like Dirk when he started to blow up.

I don't think he is a generational talent. Our standards could be different like how some view All-Star's different than Superstars. I believe it takes multiple titles to make a generational talent. No one talks about needing to get past Jokic to win a title but they did say that for Lebron, Kobe, and Duncan.

Again McFly would you like to talk about the teammates Lebron, Kobe and Duncan had

Super convenient you don’t wanna talk about this

You know what I would give to have a Dirk or Jokic as a Phoenix Sun homegrown player. Bruh

God forbid I have a differing view point. You want to talk about their teammates, let's do it but you haven't engaged in a discussion. Remember?

Now you want to pivot.

Says the guy who was Ayton's biggest apologist. Of course I'd happily take either on the Suns. That isn't to say we'd have banners to show for their time here though.

Pivot some more.

Dirk went thru Duncan, Nash, KG, Kobe, Lebron/Wade. C’mon.

One time. I give him credit for that and he's definitely a superstar, IMO. I just don't believe he's a generational talent. To me generational guys are gatekeepers for a decade or more. Kobe, Curry, Duncan, Lebron are all generational. Wade is right there also but I could see his inclusion or exclusion depending on how his career is viewed. Shaq defined a generation of bigs as well.

Dirks championship run

Portland
Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldridge

LA(defending champions)
Pau Gasol, Kobe Bryant

OKC
Durant, Westbrook, Harden

Miami
Lebron, Wade, Bosh

Like 8 Hall of Famers lol. If you switch Dirk and Duncan and you put Dirk in SA for his career you think Dirk ends up with only one ring?

Duncan was such a defensive backbone that I’m not sure. Dallas beat San Antonio in 06’ when the big-3 were at their peak. Dirk had 37/15 on the road in game 7.

I think Dallas with Dirk and Nash win it all in 03’ if he doesn’t get hurt. Nash probably never leaves the Mavs if that happens.

I think Duncan is the better player but yeah, I could see Dirk winning another title or two if you swap him and Tim. I consider them both to be generational players along with Curry, Lebron, MJ, Magic, Bird, Olajuwon, Shaq, Wilt, Kareem, Barkley, Bill Russell, Rick Barry and a few others.

There's no hard and fast definition though so I don't get upset when people argue against some of them or insist on putting players in that group that I wouldn't such as Kobe or Moses Malone or Karl Malone or John Stockton or Pippen or Dr J or Dennis Johnson or Kevin McHale or Elgin Baylor or Oscar Robertson or Giannis or KD or Garnett - even though all of them were great players

The Knicks look like they are ready to wrap up the series as they lead the Celtics in the 3rd quarter, 80-43.

Yeah… I saw that one moment in either the 3rd or 4th where he reached to his back thigh and I thought… oh that’s not good. Hammy to their third best player is a killer.

If Barkley is a generational player then Giannis, KD and KG are as well. I’d throw Kobe in there because he was a young phenom.
