Another day, and we have another slate of games to sit back and enjoy. France got us off to a slow start with a sluggish first half, leaving it 0-0 with Senegal until the 66th minute, when Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring, Barcola added a second in the 82nd minute, and the teams swapped goals in the 95th and 96th minutes, ending at 3-1 to France. Erling Haaland started the party for Norway against Iraq in the 29th minute, and after an Iraqi equalizer 10 minutes later, Haaland caught the goalkeeper in possession and added a second in the 43rd. Norway added two more goals in the 76th and 96th minutes for a 4-1 final score. 38-year-old Lionel Messi showed no signs of decline as he scored his first World Cup hat trick in Argentina’s 3-0 win over Algeria. Algeria looked like a strong opponent throughout the evening, but Messi was too much. His opening goal was a blast from distance, his second was a calm tap-in after Alexis Mac Allister’s attempt from range was spilled by Luca Zidane, and the third was a driven shot into the bottom corner from outside the box. In the nightcap, Austria opened the scoring against Jordan in the 20th minute, Jordan equalized in the 50th, but Austria managed two more in the 76th and 102nd minutes to end at 3-1.

Today we move to Groups K and L, the final teams who have yet to play in this tournament. Portugal will look to get off to a strong start as they face a DR Congo side that is likely the weakest in Group K. England and Croatia will likely be vying to win Group L, and they get things started against each other, repeating their 2018 World Cup semifinal match. Ghana and Panama will be desperate to get three points in their matchup before they have to face England and Croatia, and Colombia will look to start strong against Uzbekistan in order to compete with Portugal in Group K.

So, what will the games have in store for us today? Stick around, drop your comments, and have a great time.
