Just announced: The #Rams will play the #49ers in Melbourne, Australia next season for the NFL’s first-ever game in Australia.

This is a ridiculously stupid disadvantage for an NFL team. Unless they're giving them a second bye or something. Plus, there's every chance the rosters are fatally trimmed down by the wildlife. I mean, this is Australia, for crying out loud

The game almost has to be in the 8:30pm Eastern time slot on a Friday or Saturday night in the U.S. (12:30pm Sat or Sun in Melbourne).

So, most likely Friday night of opening week (like the Brazil game in 2025); or on the Friday of Thanksgiving week with a bye the prior week.

Kingsbury is headed back to the NFC West after parting ways with the Commanders last month.

ESPN’s Peter Schrager reports that head coach Sean McVay and Kingsbury have spent the last two weeks talking about a potential role. With the Giants going with Matt Nagy as offensive coordinator, the path was cleared for Kingsbury to join L.A.

While Kingsbury’s title has not yet been reported, the Rams do have a vacancy at offensive coordinator as Mike LaFleur departed the organization to become Cardinals head coach. However, the club’s passing game coordinator, Nate Scheelhaase, is widely expected to be promoted to that role.

The #Bears are promoting passing game coordinator Press Taylor to offensive coordinator, giving coach Ben Johnson a new top lieutenant, per The Insiders.

Taylor was an OC with the #Jaguars until 2024 before working with Johnson. With Declan Doyle in Baltimore, Taylor is the OC.
