Huge blow for the Lions. Arguebly the best C in the league. Most complete of the top centers.

Is Froholdt the best run blocking C in the league now?
I don't know know about that but fro may be a top 10 overall C at this point in time.

Creed
Luinderbaum
Jurgens
McCoy
Dalman
McGovern
Frazier? (too soon?)
Barton? (too soon?)
Kelly

Cs are always tough to grade but Fro is definitely in that top 10 mix, imo.

Best pound for pound signing Monti has made. And this from a guy who hated the move.

Froholdt is one of the most underrated signings for the Cardinals all time IMO
I’d have to think about it more/critically but Corey Peters springs to mind. It’s also a question of what underrated means, if it’s at the time of the signing then Warner is probably winning that at least during my time watching the team.

YeahBut,.... Warner had been to the Super Bowl TWICE,..and even won one...
Froholdt had barely cracked a starting lineup

Peters was already a known quantity. Froholdt was a complete unknown. Warner was great at one point before signing with the Cardinals.

I think some don't agree because Froholdt still doesn't have a great Madden rating, but he was essentially a nobody who has performed as a really solid player.

Froholdt is no Bob Dylan. :)

I would toss them a late round pick for his rights. Dude is 28...had 4,3 speed at the combine and is both a ball hawk and a tackler...
injured his PCL last year early in the season, was on and off half the years before he hung it up for the year...if he can pass a physical, he could be a solid veteran presence in the locker room with Bunting out

looks like he has about 2 years and 26mil remaining on his contract
