I would like to thank Jerry Colangelo for not dealing Randy Johnson to the Yankees, no matter how far along the trade talks got. If he did the Yankees would have beaten the Red Sox and would most likely be up 2-0 on the Cardinals. I'm not a Sox fan but I'm certainly not a Steinbrenner fan. Whether the reason is because of the David Wells fiasco or the depleted Yankees farm system, I am grateful not to be watching the Yankees at the close of October.

Was watching the first game of the World Series last night out at my Dad's at 68th Ave and Happy Valley. My uncle was there also and said that he believes Jerry was ousted because he did not trade Johnson to NY. The other owners wanted to dump his salary, but Jerry didn't want to deal with the Yanks and also didn't want to get rid of the fan favorite.
