Cards Wire has had a couple of mocks with the Cards drafting Duvernay in round 4 (they don’t go WR otherwise in those mocks). They mention he had a meeting with the Cardinals already.

He was super productive last season...

106 receptions 1386 yards 9TDs

Ran a 4.39 40

And he happens to be Kyler Murray’s cousin and is repped by the same agent as Kingsbury and Murray.

any thoughts of using one of the fourth rounders on him if they don’t go WR earlier?

I don’t watch Texas football very often but I know we have some Longhorn fans around so maybe they can provide insight.

I think he is a slot receiver. Also I think he is a possession receiver not a burner that we need.
My analysis could be wrong though.

As a junior, he lined up in the slot just 6 percent of the time and finished the season with 41 catches. As a senior, he lined up in the slot 96 percent of the time. It was total domination. Duvernay had a stellar final season with 106 receptions for 1,386 yards and nine touchdowns. He was third in the nation in receptions and second in receptions per game (8.1). In an early-season game against LSU, he caught 12 passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns.

Deebo Samuel II.

Just not getting hype that Deebo got cause Deebo played in the SEC & this years WR class is a lot better than last years.
Yep I'd take him really good player we can steal (later then he should go) in this loaded WR class easily a target if we dont go all in at WR in 1st round

And he is related to kyler as someone posted so that should help motivation to learn pb and get timing down with kyler! I say take this guy and go Simmons or oline at 8

OT but can someone explain why UT football is so underwhelming year after year?

Last 10 seasons:
5-7
8-5
9-4
8-5
6-7
5-7
5-7
7-6
10-4
8-5

I baffles me because we keep getting top recruiting classes. Just might be playing up to your competition in the Big XII but Oklahoma seems to not have that problem as long as they keep having more top players from Texas lol

Agreed.

I don't have the entire list but think about the QB's Texas has missed on (one way or another) from the state...Mahomes, Mayfield, Murray, Luck, etc.

He's a burner for sure. Just not a big one.
5'10" 200 lbs.
4.39 40 yd dash

Outstanding hands, twitchy athlete. Not a polished route runner, has great highlights but doesn't break free easily. Really good YAC, but needs to get open more. Most catches in the nation last year. Developmental prospect, but not a tough job. He's in the Kirk mold, so do you want to burn a pick on him?

Terrible route runner that doesn’t win many 50-50 balls. He looks better on paper than he does in a game. Seems to lack a competitive edge. Even with this pool someone figures to gamble in round 3 they can rebuild him.

If we aren't going WR until 4th round...I'm pretty indifferent about who they choose. I would like them to get some different skill sets than we currently have on the roster, but I also get there might be a certain type of WR that KK values.

No kidding.

FWIW, I think their burnt orange jerseys are the best uniform in D1. Penn St is #2 IMO.

Funny, but I think that puke orange color is the worst of any. Makes me sick at my stomach. My cousin gave me a Longhorn Tshirt once and I simply through it away. Yuck!
