The Arizona Cardinals report to training camp on July 22 and begin the process of preparing for the regular season, forming the roster and determining starting jobs and roles on the team.
Leading up to the start of camp, we will take a look at every player on the offseason roster, their background, their contract, their play in 2025, questions they face and their roster outlook.
Here is receiver Jalen Brooks.
Brooks enters his fourth NFL season and second with the Cardinals. He was drafted in the seventh round by the Dallas Cowboys in 2023 and was with Dallas until he was waived from injured reserve with an injury settlement last October. He signed with the Cardinals to their practice squad and signed to the active roster in December.
He appeared in five games and had three receptions for 51 yards. He also averaged 25.4 yards on 10 kick returns. He played 107 snaps on offense and 30 on special teams.
He is scheduled to make a non-guaranteed salary of almost $1.15 million. That will be his cap hit, too.
Brooks is on the roster bubble. Three, maybe four, receiver spots are locked between Marvin Harrison Jr., Michael Wilson, Kendrick Bourne and perhaps Devin Duvernay. After that, it is up in the air. He has size and return ability.
