The regular season is over for Texas baseball. The Longhorns, finished the season with a sweep of the the Missouri Tigers, remain No. 5 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll and will be the No. 2 seed in the SEC Postseason Tournament.
The Longhorns dropped from fourth to fifth in the ranking two weeks ago after losing a series at Tennessee. The entire top five of this week's poll remained the same, with UCLA still on top, North Carolina and Georgia Tech at second and third and Georgia No. 4.
UT swept the Missouri Tigers in its final regular season series of the year. Texas won on Thursday 6-3, Friday 11-6 and 12-7 Saturday.
Texas finished second in the final SEC standings of the year and will be the No. 2 seed in this week's SEC tournament. The Longhorns get a bye all the way through to the quarterfinals on Friday when they will face either Arkansas, Tennessee or South Carolina.
