As an important series begins Friday, Texas A&M baseball may have already received its first break of the weekend.
Missouri's usual Friday starter, Javyn Pimental, was listed as doubtful on the initial SEC availability report released Thursday. The left-hander has tallied a 3.33 ERA in six starts. He's allowed a .194 batting average, striking out 25 batters in 27 innings.
His potential absence shifts the usual Saturday starter, Josh McDevitt, to Friday, and the typical Sunday starter, Brady Kehlenbrink, up a day earlier. The rearrangement raises a question about who will pitch in the series finale.

For the Aggies, their weekend rotation stays the same, but the trio will aim for a better performance than they showed in the last two weekends.
Friday starter Shane Sdao will take the mound in the series opener and will aim to improve on his last appearance against Georgia, where he allowed five runs on nine hits, including two home runs in 5⅔ innings.
At the plate, A&M continues to hit well. The Aggies enter the weekend third in the conference and are posting a slash line of .319/.451/.555.
