The Houston Texans made an important injury decision ahead of their playoff matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
On Sunday, the Texans revealed that rookie cornerback Ajani Carter (hamstring) wouldn't travel with the team to Pittsburgh and was downgraded from questionable to out for Monday's game versus the Steelers.
Signing with the Kansas City Chiefs as an undrafted free agent after going unselected in the 2025 NFL Draft, Carter was ultimately waived in August ahead of final roster cuts.
Carter signed with the Texans practice squad on September 17 and appeared in two games this season, primarily in a special teams capacity, before suffering a hamstring injury that landed him on IR.
The Steelers made an injury decision of their own ahead of the playoff game versus the Texans, downgrading defensive tackle Isaiahh Loudermilk from questionable to out for Monday's contest.
