On Monday, Tennessee Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi discussed the team's offseason and openly stated that the team wasn’t finished in free agency; on Wednesday, he backed that up.
The Titans went on a signing spree on Wednesday, adding quarterback Hendon Hooker, running back Michael Carter, wide receiver K.J. Osborne, and wide receiver Lance McCutcheon to the offseason roster on one-year contracts.
The move to sign McCutcheon is interesting because the former Titans’ practice squad receiver announced his retirement earlier in the offseason, and now, NFL Inside Ian Rapoport reports the former Titans’ wideout has changed his mind and will again join the Titans.
McCutcheon has shown some preseason promise across multiple teams, but it has never translated into regular-season production. After entering the league with the Los Angeles Rams in 2022, the Montana State product led the league in preseason receiving yardage that season and won a job on the initial 53-man roster, but never produced, recording zero catches on five targets.
After that season, the 6-foot-3, 202-pound receiver has bounced around the league with the Houston Texans, New York Jets, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Titans as a member of their practice squads.
