Selection Sunday has arrived for Tennessee (22-11, 11-7 SEC) basketball. The Vols' seed, opponent and first-round destination will be announced on Sunday at 6 p.m. EDT. CBS will televise a NCAA Tournament bracket reveal.
Ahead of the field being announced for the NCAA Tournament, USA TODAY released final bracketology projections.
USA TODAY projects the Vols as a No. 6 seed in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Tennessee is projected to face No. 11 seed South Florida in the first round. The winner would advance to play either No. 3 seed Nebraska or No. 14 seed North Dakota State in the second round.
The NCAA Tournament First Four will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, while the first round will be contested Thursday and Friday. The Final Four is scheduled for April 4-6 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Tennessee advanced to the Elite Eight in its last two NCAA Tournament appearances.
