The Syracuse Orange men's lacrosse team is still playing, having advanced to this weekend's national semifinals.
They're already working on next season's roster, too. They picked up a talented attack-minded player in the transfer portal on Wednesday.
Zac Amend, from Bryant, announced on his Instagram that he'll be joining the Orange.
Amend was the America East Rookie of the Year in 2025 and then made second-team all-conference this year.
Through 28 career college games, Amend has 56 goals and 21 assists.
"The New Hampshire native is crafty, quick and two-handed," Inside Lacrosse's Ty Xanders wrote on X.
Amend went for 24 goals as a freshman, and he raised that to 32 goals this season.
Across his two seasons with the Bulldogs, Amend also picked up 43 ground balls.
It's a fascinating time for Syracuse, which is having to recruit the portal while also preparing for the Final Four. On the one hand, it's a great recruiting pitch, but it definitely has to be a lot of work for the staff.
The Orange have now picked up two transfers. They already added Cooper Pasko, a midfielder from Lafayette.
Syracuse will have an impressive graduating class to replace, but that time isn't quite here yet. First, the Orange will try to win a national title, and only after that will these transfers really come into full focus.
