Pariah dropped an invite over at http://www.thelionsfanatics.com so I thought I'd drop by to stir the drink a little, and offer the return invite.

Nice looking community here, and from what I can tell, and good, enthusiastic group of posters.

P.S.....how do you obtain an avatar? I uploaded one, or so I thought. . .is there a certain post requirement?

Welcome Fisch.

I think avatars can be no bigger than 50 pixels wide and 80 pixels tall. Some file types work better than others.

What do you guys do now for a RB? With Stewart and Artose Pinner injured, aren't you guys in trouble?

And, who is your #2 WR?

Hey Fisch! I've seen you over at TheLionsFanatics site. I've posted over there a few times as "Cardinal.Renz".

Good to see some Lions Fanatics over here. That is a good/classy site (like this one). :)

I think avatars can only be 85x85 pixels.

Thanks everyone. . .thought that might be you Renz. . .

The question on WRs. . .right now the lineup is looking like. . .

1. Charles Rogers
2. Bill Schroeder
3. Az Hakim
4. Scotty Anderson
5. David Kircus/Shaun Jefferson

As for RBs. . .rookie Avon Coubourne has been impressive this preseason, and will likely split most of the duty with Shawn Bryson while Stewart recovers.

Holmes has looked good. . .With a rotation of Elliss, Rogers, Wilkenson, and Prichett in the middle, along with Holmes, and Rainer rotating at MLB, run defense should be solid.

Dominic Raiola is obviously a stud, being a Husker and all.

That being said, get ready for an opening day slap down!

You guys D Line looks to be very tough this year, I was hoping the Cardinals could have gotten Porcher but no dice.

LOL. . .I don't know. . .I think that anemic Arizona passing game will make our weak secondary look decent. Emmitt? He never runs well against us, and the front 7 is better than in previous seasons, so I see no way that trend changes.

If you get some pressure on Harrington, you may force some mistakes, but if he has all day to throw, he's going to pick your secondary apart.

Who could forget him taking Warren Sapp AND Ray Lewis into the endzone in '94?
A solid conclusion to the "Unfinished Business" campaign.

Anemic Passing? I think you need to watch for yourself rather than take the word of media types who havent seen them either. You'll be in for a surprise.

And Shipp didn't have too much trouble running on you last year.

If Harrington has to beat us by himself, you guys are in for a looong day. He hucked it 37 times last meeting and only got 152 yards out of it.
Based on last year's game and Stewart being out, it's not looking real good for the Lions.

Time Of Pos. 23:47 36:13
Total Net Yards 203 313
Outrushed 133 to 51, and it figures to be much more lopsided this time around.

Who do you like better, btw? McMahon or Harrington?

Who is your 'playmaker' at WR? Until someone proves they can catch more than the flu, my assertion remains the same.

I liked what I saw from Poole last season, but whether or not he can build on it, is yet to be seen.

Don't know much about Soliday, but as for Marquise Walker, well. . .Todd Lyght could run with him.

Write these names down Fisch, you'll probably see them pop up again:

Bryan Gilmore
Anquan Boldin
Kevin Kasper
Bryant Johnson

None, because as we all know, other than the Dallas game, they are not nationally televised, and can't be picked up by dish. . .

The numbers I have looked at look OK, but can vanilla offenses vs. vanilla defenses really be a measuring stick?

Ah come on don't tell him anything! He has read ESPN so therefore he knows everything about our receiving core and NONE OF THEM can catch anything but the flu!

So therefore you know nothing about our receivers correct?

Thank You.

Believe me we may not have a gamebreaker but we have some very solid pass catching and yards after the catch receivers.

I liked what I saw of Kasper as well, but like I said about Poole, whether he can build on it is yet to be seen.

I'm not a 'Cards' hater by any stretch. . .I just base my early opinions on what I know of these WRs (which is little at this point other than Poole, Kasper and Foster), and until they have proven themselves, what else is there for an opinion to be based on?

No different than Charles Rogers. . .he has shown some brilliance here or there this preseason, and looks like he could be exactly what we were after when we drafted him, but the jury is out until he can prove it on a consistant basis.
