The Wisconsin Herd brings fast-paced, professional basketball action and family-friendly entertainment to Oshkosh as the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks. Playing at the 3,200-seat Oshkosh Arena in the Sawdust District, the Herd provides an exciting, accessible way for fans of all ages to experience future NBA superstars in action.
Each year, the Best of Winnebago County Community's Choice Awards invite residents to nominate and vote for their favorite local businesses across numerous categories, completely driven by community participation. Winners are celebrated and featured online and in print, recognizing the region's best in service, experience and community presence. The 2026 nomination round opened in February, with voting starting in April. Nominate your favorite business here.
Wisconsin Herd games feature non-stop action with high-scoring contests where teams regularly exceed 100 points. The entertainment extends beyond the court, with attendees enjoying family-friendly activities, promotional nights, themed games, and opportunities to meet team mascot Pointer and favorite players after most games.
The basketball season runs from November through March with 3-6 home games monthly. Popular promotional nights include Marvel Super Hero night, Star Wars night, Pointer's Birthday celebration, and Fan Appreciation events. Many games feature giveaways such as cups, magnets, calendars, bobbleheads, koozies, t-shirts, hats, sunglasses, and posters. The relatively new Oshkosh Arena, built in 2017, provides a modern venue with accessible amenities including food stands, activity booths, gift shop, restrooms, and drink stations positioned around the perimeter for easy access.
