I'm not a 'Cards' hater by any stretch. . .I just base my early opinions on what I know of these WRs (which is little at this point other than Poole, Kasper and Foster), and until they have proven themselves, what else is there for an opinion to be based on?

No different than Charles Rogers. . .he has shown some brilliance here or there this preseason, and looks like he could be exactly what we were after when we drafted him, but the jury is out until he can prove it on a consistant basis.

Poole is the worst WR on the team right now and will be un-employed by Saturday. Boldin has shown similar to what you are talking about Rogers, and Johnson was brilliant last night against Minn. Foster is quick and seems to catch most everything thown to him but is VERY small. Kasper is just amazing, great speed/hands/mobility.

OK Fisch,
Step over into a neutral corner and take a few.

That was a low blow.

Yo Fisch, welcome to the board.

I've got family in Oakland County so I'll be at the game. Heard the stadium is beautiful. If you spot me in the red 81 jersey I'll buy you a beer.

Our receivers are going to turn some heads this year. Unfortunately after the Detroit game defences will start gameplanning for them.

Yeah, the new stadium is the cat's meow. No pun intended. Every single amenitie is state of the art, from the escalators, to the bigger seats. . .the the gigantic digital big screens. . .it's truly gorgeous.

I've seen the plans for the Cards' new nest. Looking sweet! The dome ought to help out your attendance in the hotter months, and the whole roll out field concept is amazing! I just don't wanna see the engineering and constructions costs on that one! Looking like it's gonna be one hell of a facility though.

Tried.

Damien13, you've got alot of beers to buy me friend. I will be looking for you. I came here a few months ago and tried talking some smack, but they don't bite. Good group of die-hard fans here who are truly loyal to their team through good and bad, and thats respectable. The Stewart injury could be a "blessing in disguise", giving Coburn a chance to show his stuff. No the injury to Chris Cash really hurts though. Card fans know what losing a CB can do(Starks). How is Darling(LB) doing, the Lions were really pushing for him hard and lost out to the Cards.

Darling has played well, but he'll start the season backing up Ronald McKinnon at MLB. I think he will be pushing to take over the starter's job before the year is over.

Hey Fisch. Glad you took me up on the offer.

Looking forward to the game next Sunday. I think you'll prove to be correct in that we don't have a proven playmaker from the WRs (yet), but as someone else mentioned, they all get the job done. And, Blake does tend to make nobodies (Darney Scott, Joe Horn).

I must admit that I'm not exactly jumping up and down for joy over the Stewart injury.

(Not that I would over any player anyway....well except for maybe Bill Romanowski).

I have never been a big Stewart fan. He may not be dogmeat, but his absence does make me a little nervous, I'd have much preferred him to be healthy for the game. I don't want any surprises on the Cards like the Lions are going to get.
