I don't see why we'd do that. The odds of finding a decent player using one pick in the early-mid 20s are far far greater than even like... 10 second round picks.

Yeah, I agree with this. It would be better to take a shot at finding a decent rotation player with a late first rounder than hoping some collection of second rounders will yield any value (even as trade bait).

But who knows given James Jones' apparent disdain for the draft.

Wings Stop is pretty damn good for fast food wings. Buffalo used to be decent but they’ve used a shrink ray on their wings since they came back post Covid and had less number of wings, all for more price.

This is why i said we are undervaluing them (allen), we lost kd, we need shooting. Book, Allen, and ONeal could play better within a different system and without a ball dominant KD.

I agree about Allen, but curious about O'Neale, who was buddies with KD and played together for a long time.

The issue, as I see it, the contracts of Allen and O'Neale limit the Suns.

They could add a free agent with the Exceptions, but that may put them back into luxury tax territory. About all they can presently do is trades. Even adding a vet minimum contract might put them near it. It's close.

Although the salaries of Allen and/or O'Neale are not huge by NBA standards, they are when a contender is looking at the luxury tax. A non-contender would want a trade to be sweetened. Those three year contracts hurt their value.

As an example, if the Suns didn't have one of those salaries, they could add a FC like Achiuwa.

Also, the salary situation helps explain why the Suns were chasing after the trade for Kuminga as another way to add more depth upfront.

It's all a balancing act with the luxury tax.

I'm not sure what part is unclear, but both Grayson Allen and Royce O'Neale are on the current Suns roster.

If the Suns were to add another player, they might be forced to trade at least one of them because of the salary cap. Nick Richards is another candidate.
