He’s one of the most unreliable players in the league and that’s not hyperbole.
He absolutely has had difficulty staying on the floor. No doubt. That’s why he was available for minimal draft capital. Remember, the lakers were going to send knecht, reddish a first round pick and a first round swap for him. That’s a pretty significant hall. It’s essentially close to what we got for KD. And that was because of his PROVEN NBA talent. He can play yet it’s not a projection. Just has to get in the floor. When you don’t have a lot of assets you have to roll the dice a bit for upside. That’s what they did imo.

I just realized Nick Richards' contract is completely unguaranteed next season. So he will either be cut by 6/29 or bait for a team that wants the unguaranteed contract, likely 2nd round pick capital.

For me, the question is is Mark Williams better than anybody the Suns could’ve drafted at 29 this year?

You realize it's June 25th, right?
Yeah, I think we're all a little antsy because the roster is a mess right now. But I'm not sure any of us have a lot of confidence that the Suns FO isn't a bunch of doofuses who will surely do something deluxe clown show. So it's like being on needles and pins until they put together something that's not a garbage fire, if that ever happens.

Hard to say - if Williams stays healthy, maybe. But that's a big ?

How does it make sense to spend 2 vary scarce first rounders on a backup center when we have no forwards?

You realize Dillon Brooks is our PF right now right?
We still have Allen and O’Neal to move

He is probably better than any center the Suns might draft, although I'm confused, like Frank Kaminsky.

So then to me, it’s a good trade because a draft pick four years from now that’s likely gonna be a bottom tier pick anyway isn’t that big of a deal?
You wouldn't think that in 29 when we have no first.

Four years is a long time away who knows by then they’ll flipped Mark Williams for another first rounder

Worrying about what’s gonna happen in 2029 versus improving the team right now seems pretty shortsighted

I think so. A Duke guy. Size we need. He will probably be our starter. Is he better than what we have now, YES.

That was way better than anything I was going to say…

They were talking about that pick and it already being split as the worst of three teams drafting. Assuring it will be a lower first round pick. Gambo and company didn't think it was that bad on 98.7. Once they started splitting it, I lost interest in it as a fan. We weren't supposed to have picks since we supposedly traded everything away and we had four at the start of the night. You never know what trades are going to happen, and what picks we may get. Like Folster was saying, we could flip Nick Richards now for some second round picks.

I love that quote from Frank, "So the Suns are just going to roll out a rotation of centers and shooting guards next season?"

What’s the best ability? Availability

Never played more than 44 games in a season and already has an injury sheet a mile long at 23.
Eh I’ll take the first year with a grain of salt as he missed a large chunk as a rookie playing in G League. And a thumb that needed surgery. That year is not a big deal.

Second year was the concern with the back.

This past year he mainly missed a large chunk of the beginning of the year but finished out the season pretty strong averaging 15/11/3.5 through March and April. So his latest experience has been a strong one, not injury filled.
