I always see these scorching assessments of a player's defense and I have to believe it is exaggerated. Did you actually watch scouting videos of his D? I have searched in vain to find them.

I watched the two summer league games. I am obviously exaggerating, but he is really bad defensively. Again, I am a fan- I am pretty sure I said in this threat that I haven't seen a shot that smooth in a very long time, but his defense is non-existent. His defense is objectively as bad as his shot is wonderful.

I remember scouting report on Dunn last draft was he was elite defensively but horrible shooter. His shot turned out to be way better than advertised and early signs this year are that his offense is progressing quickly. I have a feeling he’s not even close to his ceiling yet

Well, I do agree. Even so Grayson is a bad defender as well, and I actually think Brea is not only a better shooter, he is better at finding ways to get his shot off.
I’m excited about the kid too . . . but two games . . . in summer league . . . one of which was an 18 point loss.

Two years ago Grayson lead the entire league in three point shooting percentage on volume.

Perspective.

Maluach is the 10th pick and they will be developing him this year. He will get 20 minutes a game even if he sucks.

It may appear Oso can drive to the basket, but I seriously doubt he will be able to do so in the actual NBA. He has to get a jump shot, there is no substitute for it.
While I don’t disagree about any of your statements here, it’s funny to read back-to-back statements where oso’s experience in summer league won’t translate to the nba but brea’s 2 games in summer league and he’s already a better shooter than Grayson Allen.

The thing I would add, skills usually translate to the NBA providing a player has enough athleticism and basketball IQ.

Ty Jerome might be an example. I was concerned if he could get off his shot when he first entered the league.

I think Brea might be more athletic, but that doesn't mean he will be better than Allen. Cheaper, no doubt.

I'm wondering if the Celtics-Heat game will ever end.

He's a better shooter than Grayson based on his college shooting stats being 2nd only to Steph Curry - not the 2 games in preseason.

As far as Oso goes, tell me a big besides Giannis who is successful by continuously driving from the top of the key in the league. To put in mildly Giannis is far more dynamic and has a far better handle than Oso. G-league level defense is not NBA defense.

I am not saying Oso can't be somewhat useful, just that you can never play him in a playoff game where a team attacks your weaknesses.

Dunn looking good. I think he is making a jump this year.

Maluach using his loose handle too much.

Fleming looks hyped up, running around like he doesn't know where he is supposed to go, then turned it over. Needs to calm down.

Rasheer Fleming with a good-looking three. He is well-built for a power forward.

Fleming looks like the biggest guy on the floor. A yoked PF.

The Kings seem to have the same talking points as the Suns in terms of philosophy.

A much-needed dunk by Khaman.

Maluach is just so big. He's well proportioned so he doesn't need to grow anymore. I wish SL play was a bit more organized to showcase him a little more but he has fantastic hands.

Which came first. Alignment for the Kings or alignment for the Suns.

What a sloppy undisciplined game so far. Feel like I am watching the train wreck from last year.

probably the kings, they traded away fox before we moved KD. Both teams suck - alignment is just a marketing term for rebuilding.
