Suns usually don't complain about officiating in post game... today was exceptional.

i wish i would have noticed what nash is talking about. I hate when i see refs do that. I think they should not hold their whistle all the way in their mouths all the time, it makes it too easy to blow it out of reflex and make a bad call.

they lost to a detroit team that was missing their points per game leader. Their bench out scored ours 29-17. They out-rebounded us by 6. They turned the ball over 4 less times. They got to the line 4 more times, and made their fouls shots when they counted. Grant missed 2 big ones. I would hardly call that game "quality" on our end.

You are so up beat. If their bench outscored ours by that margin, then our starters outscored their starters. Oh wow! We won a statistical category. Dude, we lost in overtime. Get over your over analyzation. This was a great game that went the home teams way. Move on.

If we were at home, we woulda won going away. Oh and even with Hamilton I don't think this game woulda been much different because Chauncy scored much more than he normally does.

Otherwise, your negativity considering how much better this team is playing is mysterious. You woulda thought we got blown out again.

arwillan has a point, even if you don't agree. Detroit was missing a key player, and if you don't think Hamilton not playing didn't effect Detroit, you're crazy. Rip averages almost 18 a game, his replacement scored 6. Chauncy picked up a lot of the slack pouring in 32 (Averages 17.7,) but having Hamilton out puts them down a solid defender and disrupts the chemistry of their starting unit.

I think the Suns would still play them close with both teams at 100%, don't get me wrong, but the Pistons will play much better with their full starting compliment.

If Rip was playing, the Suns would have played the Pistons differently. I'll bet you wouldn't have seen a zone defense if Rip was playing. So there's no way to make this loss even WORSE than it is because Rip didn't play.

It's a Red Herring. Your defensive assignments change which impacts the entire lineup. There is no way to determine if the Pistons play any different or the Suns. Usually, they get more outside play if Rip in in there too. So does that mean Sheed doesn't take those 4 early 3 point shots??? Do the Suns play as much zone?

I will say though that instead of Amare being stuck on Sheed for stretches, what I would like to see next game is sticking Skinner on him when Shaq goes to the bench.

I am such a dedicated fan, that while I saw the 4th and ot and it being a losing effort, tomorrow after class and before the next game, I am gonna watch the archive on raptorsnation.net
