I went to NAU, so ASU and UofA are the same to me. ;) Michigan, Michigan State, whatever.

Actually the point wasn't the schools being the same, more of the concept of a team taking players from a certain college.

Valiant try. It's not working, though. :)

Ishbia is turning the Suns into Michigan West. The GM hire and this front office is becoming the poster child for nepotism. I think this is the 6th or 7th front office hire that has ties to Michigan/Ishbia?!?

Things IMO are not looking good for this front office. Terrible GM hire IMO. This might have pushed me to the dark side on Ishbia. I don't think he knows what he is doing and is surrounding himself with his guys which never works IMO.

We are in agreement then. The GM should be making the calls. The present situation appears clouded with the hire of Gregory, though. Right now it appears GM by committee.

I think this is the issue. In the presser Ish said something like "the guys come to me with ideas, and its up to me to sign off on them or not".

The Rockets are young and loaded with draft picks, particularly the Suns.

If Giannis is truly available, KD would be a distant 2nd in any off-season trade pursuit for the Rockets.

If Giannis truly becomes available, I look for the Suns options to be severely limited until that trade is completed. There is going to be more than one team looking for that type of player but the priority has to be Giannis if you can do it.

I don't believe Giannis will actually be on the market, but the issue is it will drag out any potential trade for Durant as the rest of the league waits for definitive resolution of "will he or won't he" be available.

We may not realistically see Durant moved until August or later, who knows?

Yep, it all depends on Giannis saying he wants out or not.

If Giannis becomes available, trade Booker for him and send KD to Houston.

No way Booker alone nets you Giannis, and we don't have anything of value to add. (Dunn and Iggy ain't gonna get it done)

No valiant try. It's me saying I don't give a flying monkey if it's Michigan or Michigan State!

As long as you get the Arizona schools right. ;)

Without a doubt. Giannis has much more value.

We could have additional assets after trading KD.
Okay but what do you think we'd have left after replacing our two best players with GA? I know we wouldn't be a contender but would we even be better? I highly doubt it. I think we'd just change some names, not the problem, which is that we just aren't close to being relevant and attempts to change that will, at best, delay the inevitable and prolong the misery.

Suns aint' into rebuilding yet, there is not much value to their picks owed to Houston. Unless Roxs are willing to give up much more than the suggested fillers. Won't happen.
Priority should be turn Beal into smaller contracts such like Poole + Smart, then Allen into a bigman, and go from there.

I guess it depends on what we get for KD. We could retain some of the returning assets.

If I had a choice to build a team around GA or Booker I'm going with GA, it's not even close.

We need a more balanced team built around big athletic players that can score and defend. At the very least GA and Beal would be a more effective combo than Booker and Beal.
