I can't get tweets from Gambo and Shams to show up. Could something be happening as we speak?

Other sites seem to be working just fine.

Now both sites are working again.

This could all come down to the Suns hiring an inexperienced NBA GM. The other teams play hardball.

Now it's wait and see time.

If the Knicks trade Karl Anthony-Towns, the Suns are listed as favorites.

Thibs might be a great coach for the Suns. In his offense book can run the point Rose and Brunson became all-stars in his shoot-first point guard offense. He has been an above-average defensive coach in the past. He is also pretty good at developing young players after their rookie seasons.

I am over Point Book. Never again. He was far better playing off the ball, only needing to create for himself.

That seems a bit awkward, interviewing two assistant coaches from the same team for the job.

I'm a bit concerned about the Michigan State connection with Jordan Ott.
The conspiracy theory is Ishbia wants to get Bryant as head coach and Ott as assistant coach. Make Ott the highest paid assistant like he did with Young, to get him to come to Phoenix, all to stick it to his rival who owns the Cavs.

That does not even sound like a conspiracy. They openly hate each other.

I doubt it happens, but I also don't think our focus on 2 Cavs guys is a remote coincidence.

Oh, this could get dicey.

If it turned out that way, would the Suns pretend nothing happened and hire Jordan Ott which they might have done anyway.

However, that would leave a cloud over the Suns hiring.
It only solidifies the opinion of Ishbia being a clown that only hires people from Michigan State.

If that has any weight as to why they are finalists, we might as well find another team to root for. An owner that would put that as a primary factor in hiring is an idiot who will drag any franchise down.

He has improved greatly as a point guard but no matter how much he improves or how hard he works, he's never going to be able to defend that position. And even ignoring defense, he's still never going to be as good at the lead spot as he is as a shooting guard.

I've got a bad feeling this is going to happen. Book has way too much power.

If it happened, the Suns would have a 29-year-old star to match Booker's timeline.

At least the Suns would be competitive while they rebuild. That may be the best we can hope for.

The Knicks may have their own wrinkle to the hire.

Competitive? Have you seen the West? No we would not be competitive - not even close. How do you think replacing KD with Kat makes us more competitive? We were not competitive last year and that is certainly a downgrade.

The only sensible thing to do is get young players and hope to compete in 4 or 5 years.

It would be great to see the Suns out of the lottery, giving up top ten draft picks.

Two stars and a center might do it if the Suns can find a starting point guard.

The Suns roster might be improved by addition through subtraction. Phoenix had a terrible mixture of players last season, not to mention the coaching.
