I don't remember an eartquake so far ranging as this one. My sone said he didn't feel it in Flagstaff. He is camping and probably not feeling too much right now anyway! :)

Where are you at?

Moreno Valley which is near Riverside, CA. If you know the area, we're less than a mile from the old Riverside Race track. I'm guessing that Las Vegas is probably as close to the center as we are so I'm not surprised they were so concerned. I got a call from a friend who was at dinner at a Vegas casino hotel near his house and he said most of the patrons hid under tables, stood in doorways or just tried to crawl to safety.

I get that people felt unsettled, but there was no danger from the scoreboard and speakers. Once they stopped swaying they should have continued.

I have some friends there. I better see what's up.

They're still playing in the arena next door. That one doesn't have a jumbotron setup.

I was predicting it would be the Kawai Leonard decision that interrupted the Phoenix Suns game tonight. A freaking earthquake? This is getting a bit more ridiculous each year.

Not sure where this was originally posted but apparently Mikal and Ayton are in Vegas, they planned on watching the SL game tonight. Really glad to see some unity and team spirit.

Video should be accessible on Reddit, it's short and sweet. They only say they're waiting out the earthquake, they're there to watch the Suns get a W. Nothing of note besides that.

Still feeling after shocks. Probably felt about 6 or 7.

The initial quake was fairly big and long.
Yesterday’s was a forshock to this one. Hopefully today’s wasn’t a foreshock for another one. Hearing there is a 5% chance of that.

It's summer league... they're glorified inter-squad scrimmages, you don't reschedule a summer league game. That is not at all surprising.

Do the Nuggets and Suns both get wins for their tournament seeding? Both losses? Pels were up, do they win? I know it doesn't matter bb-wise, but it does to those who bet....

The Suns were supposed to play four games in the Las Vegas summer league. This doesn't help players trying to make the team.

This announcer is going overboard now "This was one of the scariest moments of my life"

I mean, really? I get it, it's weird but she was talking normal up until they just put the camera on them to sign off.
I'm up in Vegas to watch the Suns and I was outside the arena. People I talked to said it was pretty scary not knowing if the jumbo Tron would fall and if so what sort of damage that could cause.

I agree. It's better safe than sorry.

Not just the Jumbotron, all those ginormous speakers that were swaying.

Yeah, because they don't have any structural engineers for big public complexes like that, and they let them put a multi ton object in the air with scotch tape. :)

If that Jumbo Tron comes down, it's because the whole building is coming down. That would probably take an 8.0 right at the stadium, and it's not going to feel like that one last night! :hairraise
