Over five collegiate seasons, the last of which came in Lexington, Brea developed into a lethal shooter from deep. He led the SEC by hitting 43.5% of his 5.9 3s per game in 2024-25 after transferring from Dayton, where he led the A-10 shooting 49.8% on 6.1 attempts per game. -Arizona Sports

Brea measured in at 6-foot-5.75 without shoes with a 6-foot-5.25 wingspan, weighing 201.8 pounds.

i don't see booker when i see brea - i see ish playing moneyball - i see ish getting top shelf 3 point shooting percentage at a fraction of the cost - i see greyson being good as gone and brea just knocking ish down consistently - because you can blind fold brea - his muscle memory is a photographic memory - practice cultivates confidence - this dude might end up in the 3pt comp mark my words -

I'd be fine if he turns out to be a JJ Reddick, or other sharp shooter from three. It would widen the floor for guys like Green and Booker.

To be fair, nobody saw Booker becoming what he did. Not suggesting that Brea is the level of prospect that Booker was, but he could surprise and be much better than people are currently expecting.

I wanted the same thing to happen last season with Collin Gillespie.

The thought occurred to me, they will, but wanted the flexibility to make roster moves before doing so. I agree Brea should be on a standard contract, preferably four years.

Suns have 14 players under contract and Beal appears on his way out, but roster moves may be pending.

.465 on over 400 attempts the last two years. And the kid is 6-7. If he can develop some defensive chops he can be a bit "Cam Johnson-ish". And it looks like he has a mid-range game.

I had not really been paying much attention to this pick, but I am now.

With this kid, Rasheer, Dunn, and Khamen, we have some interesting young players on this team.

I just watched extended film on this guy. He is one of the best shooters I have ever seen. He has a quick release, creates his own shot at the line, catch and shoot is really quick, gets his shot off with very little space.

It looks like he is developing his midrange game. But I think his defense is horrible. It must be; otherwise he would have been taken earlier.

Brea was completely off my radar as I was looking at center/forwards and point guards. I kept thinking, why did the Suns move up to #41 to draft him.

Maybe they had another player in mind, it's hard to know, but he was a good selection there.

I didn't know anything about him either. But I was wowed when I watched his highlights. The net barely ever moved on his shots. And then to see him hit his first three 3s and 4 out of 5 was extremely impressive. He's been a very nice surprise for me.

Question is if Ott gives Brea a chance. Beal, Allen and O'Neale is in front of him off the bench. Maybe Gillespie as well. Brea seems like a player that does not shy away from the big stage.
