This is what we need to do. Ayton CAN punish this team.

in what universe does 8 points at the half = Ayton is on pace for 20? That’s basic math you’re off on.

but the play to start the half... THATS what Ayton can and needs to do.

Also, you realize Chris Paul was yelling at Ayton in the first quarter because of how listless he was. You realize that happens on a regular basis?

I just want to see him play HARD. That’s not asking for Giannis. No matter how much you want to make excuses for him. Expectations for the first pick in the draft to have taken a big step forward in his third year as opposed to backward, playing with the best PG in the league isn’t too much too ask.

look, I’m not at all saying I am happy with how Ayton is playing.

I just have realistic expectations for him. You seem to think he should be playing like an MVP candidate.

I miss the days when referees could actually handle the jump ball. That one is not on Ayton, Chicago stole it long before it peaked.

Sorry. That’s a load of BS. I’m asking him to be a legit third option and at the bare minimum just play HARD the entire game. That isn’t asking too much. No matter how much you WANT to blow my expectations out of line.

that said the whole team looks like crap tonight.

Bulls have made eight more three point shots than the Suns.

you’re talking to someone who equates asking Ayton merely to play hard to being an MVP candidate.

What you have described you want ayton to do is well beyond ayton playing hard.

He is playing hard, he’s just not playing smart.

This isn’t as much of a stretch as it should be, when I say that success for this team has now fallen on the shoulders of Paul and Book. If they don’t play at an all star level, we have virtually no chance of a win...

Not a fan of Booker ball.

also, CP3 hasn’t made much of an impact tonight.

Ugh... and again, we don’t close the last two minutes of the quarter.

No actually that is incorrect.

they are consistent, it is much more about our other guys play level, and most importantly their 3 point shooting that determines if we will win or not.

I think that’s a bit of a stretch. They have a chance to win tonight even though neither guy is playing well and they’re out Saric.

but we are definitely heavy dependent on those two guys. Too much so. I won’t go into the biggest reason why that is again.

So like I said, if those two are playing at an all star level, we have virtually ZERO chance of winning...

I’m at the point now where I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this team misses the post season.
And even if we somehow squeak in, we’re a certain one and done...
Can’t rely so heavily on just two guys and expect sustained success...

that’s not what I see out there when he loafs on rotations.

lol... “well beyond” Ayton playing hard. You remember he’s not a G-league guy, right? You do know he does possess pretty incredible natural talent, right?

Come on man. That’s totally fatalistic. We’re right in a game against a team playing good ball without either CP3 or Booker playing well. We’re down 1 point in the fourth. That right there blows the idea they have no chance to win.

How long are you going to hold onto the idea he is going to become an aggressive monster?

he is what he is. You need to learn to accept it.
