Here is a video breakdown/prediction of our season. Interestingly, he points out that Williams and Maluach have the two highest standing reaches in the league (didn't know that). I think he is underselling our defensive potential this year and maybe even undervaluing our offensive potential. Maybe that is just the homer in me speaking though.

Butler looked really good vs Lakers but the other games he was a bit of a black hole. I'm hoping we can keep him around somehow but I'm fine with Goodwin being prioritized.

I like both Goodwin and Butler.

Unless the Suns can add someone that can help them more, I'd keep Butler and make a decision on him later. IIRC, they have until January 10th to decide.

I've already suggested a player that could help them.

Even if Butler was (a bit) shot-happy, a surprising move by the Suns. Probably Butler will be picked-up quickly by another team.

Suns aren't making the play in unless a bunch of teams suffer major injuries, but I guess if you are looking for a potential big payout this isn't an awful bet.

If the decision was really about which to keep between the two - a decision that did not need to be made - Goodwin's defense and playmaking are valued more for this team.

The thought process is Green or Booker will get 90%+ of the 2 guard time, and Grayson the rest. They needed someone who more closely resembles a point.
