A bit of an overreaction but does last nights performance make anyone who sat out more expendable?
Interesting question. I think this further cements my opinion that Rasheer should be getting the primary Dunn backup minutes instead of O'Neale. He should be given every chance to develop this season.

I really do not want Butler to be cut. I really think we need to get Nick Richards traded. We don't need 4 centers - plus a two way guy in Huntley that can also play Center.

I think I would like to see that through as well. He has great athleticism, something ONeale lacks.

Richards and Oso bring different things to the table, I prefer Richards as he has more strength and doesn't get bullied all the time. Oso's free throw shooting tells a lot on the other side of the court. In your scenario, move Oso for Butler.

For me, these are the people that should be worried about their time here: Gillespie, Oneale and Oso.

You obviously aren't paying attention to the coaches plans.

Right now Oso is second string center - Mark Williams is 1st string.

Nick Richards is not likely to get any playing time. Even if he did - is it not better to play Maluach over him, since there is very little difference in their ability, and Maluach needs to be developed.

Nick Richards was not in the team's plans after draft night, I am actually shocked he is still on the team, I would think some team would have offered us a 2nd rounder by now for him.

We need to have patience with trading Richards. Got drive up that value somehow.

Plus there’s injuries that occur during the season. God Forbid

Obviously I am just posting my opinion; Oso sucks. Keep Williams, Maluach and Richards. But I do see they are starting Oso in the pre-season games, building up Williams for the long haul, and Maluach is a project with some good physical measurables.

I agree with your take across the board. Apparently the logic behind starting Oso is added playmaking since Green and Williams are out. I believe Maluach proved he's ready for more consistent minutes though so Ott will have a hard time keeping him in the bench unless he can find a way to run Oso with Maluach.

The Suns are ranked 13th in valuation by Sportico.

I'm not much of a fan of Oso myself, but it is clear the coaches don't agree.

In fairness if he could make his free throws and finish better, I think he would be far more valuable, because his ability to get to the rim off the dribble and pass are pretty good - it's just he doesn't seem able to capitalize on those drives currently. I like the way he rebounds as well.

Suns are documenting the season on YouTube. Episode 1 is up now. It's like 12 minutes.

Mark Williams participated in a light scrimmage today. No Jalen Green, though.
