I appreciate you posting these, so please don’t be offended by the below comment - they are aimed more at the content creators.

These articles say virtually nothing. This one and the one about book and ott. Nothing. They could each be summed up in one sentence each:

Booker likes ott

Suns aren’t making Williams play much in practice to keep him healthy.

Williams isn’t even practicing in the preseason, huh? Yikes.

What pick did we give up for Mr. Glass?

More time for Maluach and Oso then. But I was looking forward to having a quality center. Not had one since Papa Bear Dominayton left for Portland (without a mattress). Oso and Maluach are probably not ready yet to play big minutes versus starter level opponents meaning we'll go small again and be killed on the boards and in the paint in typical Suns style. Yeah. Go Suns...

Hmm, so the unexpexted part in the article above is that Jalen Green turned down a sneaker deal. What I found amusing is this part:

On the court, Green will be an intriguing player to watch next season. His fit alongside Suns star Devin Booker will be interesting, considering that they are both score-first guards who do not provide much on the defensive end. While there are concerns about their fit next to each other, there is still a lot to like about their potential.

I expect Williams to play when the season starts and make some appearance in preseason. The Suns are starting a new regime with him and sort of starting from scratch. It's best to err on the side of caution now so he doesn't get an injury in a meaningless scrimmage or preseason game. I believe he is practicing some in a more organized manner when it's less physical. He's not sitting entirely.

We still have Richards as well. Him, Maluach, and Oso isn't a fantastic rotation but better than Plumlee, Richards, and Oso. Maluach has more versatility than Plumlee as a shooter outside of the paint and has more hops.

I read Maluach had gotten stronger since summer league. That should help. Just having a rim runner and shot blocker will help a lot.

If he needs to stay out on the perimeter in offensive sets to keep the paint open for Booker/Green ISO then... yeah, he will get a lot of attempts.

My only worry, is our last coach wanted us to shoot 40 threes a game. The players started the season shooting way over 30 attempts a game. We started out ok, but eventually, the players themselves quit taking so many threes. Abandoning the coach's primary offensive strategy. I worry we will start off with this new culture of playing hard and tough on defense, the the players revert back to the average.

That's part of why we moved Durant, Beal, and Nurkic as well as let Tyus walk away. The hope is that there is whole new culture. O'Neal and Grayson don't set the tone, theyre role players who play off of guys. As long as Book and Jalen are pushing the pace then we should see a new Suns. Not that dissimilar to when Monty was hired and we saw a real uptick in energy.
