I think rotations will largely depend on how the team is doing. If they start the season off on fire and playoffs may be a possibility, we'll likely see more veterans and fewer youngsters get significant minutes. If they start off slow and nobody thinks playoffs are a reasonable goal, we'll see more youngsters.

Yep. This is one of those seasons.

Yes, I immediately thought the same thing, while not being silly enough to suppose he's related to the racist and petty criminal David Duke. The man is black and his parents are from Liberia. Ehh, he probably wants to be called Dave, or not use the suffix Jr.
I didn't post the story because I was afraid it would go to the PR forum. There's a write up comparing the racist Duke to Duke, Jr's story. There could not be two entirely different stories. The parents fled a bad situation in their country to come to the USA. It was not the typical, my kid has NBA talent so we moved to the USA. Duke became an NBA talent later on after the move.

I think swapping Brooks and Dunn makes sense. Although I wouldn't be shocked if Brooks and O'Neale start at F.

Maluach as the 4th string C is laughable. There is no way he should be behind Oso and Richards.
If O'neale starts Suns management has lost the plot.

Quite frankly there are 2 guys that need to be removed from the roster immediately in my opinion - O'Neal and Nick Richards. They will only get in the way of developing our young players.

Captain obvious here but I think we are already trying to move O’Neal. Too bad GS didn’t want him

We lost the plot a few years ago.

Regardless, I think the rotation will be extremely fluid in the early part of the year. Guys who they'd like to trade: O'Neal, Allen, Richards, will probably get playing time aimed at increasing their value.

It would be to our huge benefit to trade those guys for anything of value, and the Suns should try to make them appear as valuable as possible during the first part of the season.

I am all for developing the youth, but we gotta try to get something for the meager assets we have and if you bench those guys they become worthless as trade pieces.

Ehh, a little patience is called for. And Nick Richards is an insurance policy in case Mark Williams gets injured.
Why do we need an insurance policy? We suck. The best use of center minutes is to develop Maluach and Oso.

Agreed. Oso is a fatally flawed player.
I don't think Oso is necessarily "fatally" flawed.

He did look noticeably improved in summer league. He just needs a jumper - which I know is not easy to get, but it's not impossible.

I'd settle for a consistent floater out to say, 8 ft. His defense should improve with more reps, and his passing is above average for a center already. If he can nail that floater he can stick around in the league, much like Hartenstein.

I read something the other day where Dunn hyped up Hayes-Davis and his post play. Really like that site you've been sharing. They have a lot of good Suns coverage on there.
