The biggest mystery to me is not why the Suns' core has no fire or pride, because I don't find that mysterious. Weak personalities, it's as simple as that.

Actually, the biggest mystery to me is something simpler: why Monte Morris obviously fell out of favor. It's great that Collin Gillespie played well, but I have no idea why he played ahead of Morris. Is Morris just bad, like Tyus Jones often is, and I don't realize it?

Morris has been hurt. A back issue.

Yeah, I find it really odd why Monte has basically disappeared from the rotation. I know he was hurt for a few games, but he's no longer on the injury report AFAIK. I feel like he gives us 95% of the offense Tyus Jones does but at 150% of the defense.

I doubt we'll see Dunn again this year. Damn you, Bud!

More likely:
Gillespie
Booker
Royce
KD
Richards

I bet Bol has been banished.

Damn you, Bud.

Put Bud on the bench and let an ass. coach take over. I bet anyone on his team will give more minutes to Dunn.

I like it. We can bench players. Why not coaches? I wish the front office would mandate minutes for Dunn and Gillespie. I agree with Main about Bud laughing off the idea of Collin starting. Guys should be played based on merit and what's best for the team rather than star power and seniority.

I know some want Booker gone to recoup assets. The first thing we will do as a franchise if we trade Booker, is actually look for a scorer like Booker to help us win games. In my opinion, it's not that easy to find these guys cheaply, ie trading assets to get a star. So we might as well keep Booker in my opinion.

I don't think we are going to net a huge return on Durant as Duane Rankin believes. Also, the build around Booker implies we can trade Beal. Something I think is also near impossible without using assets to get it done, and even then, there is Beal's no trade clause. Look at the Jimmy Butler fiasco. Nobody was willing to take on Beal.

I have been prepping myself to see KD extended and us running it back with the big three, and maybe a move to get under the second apron long enough to trade for a big. I can see this being an option for Ishbia since he both likes Book and KD.

I also would not be surprised if KD and the Suns determine to part ways. However, our rebuild will be hampered by the Beal contract. We barely win now with KD. I just can't wait to see how well we do with Beal and Booker as the BIG TWO! LOL!

The Suns are not barely winning with KD. In fact, they are losing. They are five games under .500.

I'd prefer the Suns trade both Beal and Durant if possible. I'd even include James Jones and Bud as stocking stuffers.

The only info in that article that is new or intriguing is the idea of swapping KD and Butler this off-season. Who knows if Golden State is receptive. That it was floated by Rankin is interesting because he rarely suggests deals. I could be sold on that trade if we got picks as well but of course that all hinges on how Golden State finishes their season.

They’re golden right now with the jimmy trade.

I remember one of the radio guys when we made the Butler trade said, "The Suns now own Beal until that contract dies, cuz NO ONE is ever going to take that on." I think he's right. So far, it seems to be working out that way. I am just assuming we WILL have Beal for two more seasons.

An interesting tidbit about extending KD, that would make his contract expire when Booker's is supposed to. UNLESS, this off season a show I listened to said the Suns window to extend Booker opens up. If true, Ishbia could extend BOTH Booker and KD! That would make at least half this forum explode in anger! LOL!

I was quite angry when we made the KD trade as I felt it was one of the dumbest moves any franchise has ever made. Since then, for me, I've been feeling more like a passionless version of despair and disgust. I really don't think they could anger me at this point, my love of this sport and this franchise is a small fraction of what it's been for the past 50 plus years. Honestly, they could move the franchise and it wouldn't raise my blood pressure in the slightest, I would just take it as further proof of how incredibly stupid our front office is.

The Suns are likely stuck with Beal unless a team miraculously shows interest. It would likely require the Suns adding draft picks to move him, draft picks they don't have, unless they get a bounty of draft picks from trading Durant.

If KD is extended, I hope it's to another team. Three seasons of Durant is already too much for me.

Only the Mavericks can keep pace and I wouldn't be surprised they don't destroy the Suns today with a skeleton roster.

At least they seem to have heart.

I would miss the Suns if they moved the franchise, but not if this is the new norm.

The Luka trade just seems insane at least on the surface. They had a generational talent and traded him for an oft-injured aging lesser talent. They didn't mortgage their future like we did but OTOH, they had a nice future in front of them that they just torched for no (apparent) reason. Now, if it turns out that Luka has a real drinking problem or any of the other things they hinted at, maybe it will turn out to not be quite so stupid. But I sure wouldn't count on it - IMO it will live on in infamy and not just in the Dallas area.
