Mar. 8—SIOUX FALLS — The Jackrabbits did it again.

South Dakota State captured its fourth straight Summit League tournament title and 13th overall with a 64-51win over top-seeded North Dakota State on Sunday afternoon at the Premier Center.

SDSU (27-6) punches its ticket to a 14th NCAA tournament since they moved up to the Division I level and became eligible in 2009.

North Dakota State (28-4) suffered their second loss to SDSU this season and fell to 0-5 against the Jacks in the Summit League tournament. They will hope for an at-large selection to send them to what would be their first Division I NCAA tournament appearance.

Brooklyn Meyer had 26 points and nine rebounds to lead the way, out-dueling Summit League player of the year Avery Koenen, who finished with 12 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists.

The Jacks had a chance to take control early, going up by nine in the second quarter, but their shooting struggles prevented them from distancing themselves. The Jacks went 0-for-6 from outside in the first half while the Bison went 5-for-13.

SDSU dominated the boards, however, and their 24-11 edge on the glass made up for their cold shooting. Meyer had 16 points and seven rebounds in the half while Koenen had just four points but dished five assists.
