May 15—BROOKINGS — The two-time defending regular season Summit League volleyball champions have released their 2026 schedule.
South Dakota State will open the regular season in late August at the Pepperdine Tournament in Malibu before welcoming national powerhouse Nebraska to First Bank & Trust Arena for the home opener on Sept. 2.
They'll also face a pair of Big Ten foes when they host the South Dakota Lottery College Volleyball Classic at the Pentagon in Sioux Falls Sept. 18-19, taking on Washington and Minnesota.
Conference play then begins Sept. 25 when the Jacks visit USD on a Friday night in Vermillion.
The Jacks will host Omaha on Halloween night, just after the football team faces USD at Dykhouse Stadium. The Coyote volleyball team comes to Brookings on Oct. 23.
SDSU went 23-5 last year, including 16-0 in Summit League play, before they were upset in the conference tournament by St. Thomas. The Jacks then earned an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament for the second consecutive season.
